We are looking for a young designer to inject their creative edge to our team. R.O.I.Media is the rising star of online marketing, conversion based high-end design, SEO and Online Business Development. We are searching for a talented Website Designer with 1 to 2 years practical working experience. The ideal candidate should be intensely passionate in terms of their design ethic and have a fervent obsession for all things web related. Candidates should be capable of: • Understanding conversion-based design models, website structure & planning and effective information layout • Creating mock-ups and designs that are concise and professional on tight schedules. Flawless and smooth transition from concept to reality is a must • Paying extreme attention to detail and having a good eye for design - every pixel counts! • Thinking independently and to be on the cutting-edge of design by keeping up to date with the latest web trends & must have the desire to expand their knowledge into all facets of the medium • Being a team player, creative, dynamic, supportive with ability to work well under pressure Candidate’s role includes: • Working closely with the Creative Director to create high-end websites for clients with strong conversion-based design • Conceptualizing and translating ideas into reality quickly and efficiently • Sitemap creation, information architecture and layout of web pages • Banner & Emailer creation • Website maintenance & updating Ideal Skill set & Proficiency in: • The entire Adobe CS3 suite of products with special focus on Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Freehand & Flash • HTML, XHTML, CSS • Layout design, effective navigation usage & page structure • Flash & Animated Gif banner creation, Emailer creation • Compression/Optimization techniques & knowledge of limitations of web based design & development • A willingness to learn new techniques and push personal boundaries The following is advantageous: • Flash Action script • JavaScript, PHP, ASP, AJAX • Knowledge in Print design Details: • Remuneration: Negotiable • Benefits: To be discussed • Province: Western Province • City: Cape Town • Education level: Diploma • Job level: Junior to middle weight designer. • Type: Permanent | |
