Senior Production Planning Control Coordinator

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the day to day planning and coordination (through the Production Department) of all industrial processes related to the production carried out at the CTE Touws River complex and ensures that all goods and services are produced within allocated time frames.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Reports CTE Production Managers

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Coordinate the daily planning and control activities for all industrial processes within the CTE Touws River complex.

2. Develop, implement and maintain production tracking system.

3. Work closely with the Procurement Department to support the established Syspro MRP system and to assist in the coordination of procurement schedules.

4. Support all other functions and departments in determining appropriate levels of manpower requirements for the development of manpower acquisition plans.

5. Collect and collate all required monthly statistical information from each department and prepare/distribute monthly management report in the agreed formats and timescales determined by the CTE Executive.
Position Requirements:
1. Graduate (tertiary education in Industrial Engineering preferred).
2. Must be computer literate and able to use MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint software
3. Minimum 5 years of work experience in an industrial production planning environment (experience in railway workshop planning preferred).
4. Fully capable of creating and maintaining a comprehensive production process plan using MS Projects software.
