| Oracle DBA Duties: • Install, patch and maintain Oracle software • Tune Oracle instance components including tables, indexes, SQL and PL/SQL • Approve and implement production schema changes • Approve and implement changes to database design • Control migrations of Oracle schema objects • Design and implement a backup & recovery strategy • Implement Oracle failover technology • Perform data imports and export • Provide DBA support at client sites Minimum requirements: • 2 years Oracle DBA experience • Own transport and a valid driver’s licence • Ability to handle pressure • Good verbal and written communication skills • Well presented and a good team player Advantageous: • Relevant B-degree and/or Diploma • Experience in the following Oracle tools: • Enterprise Manager • PL/SQL Developer • Toad for Oracle • Relevant Oracle certification • Operating experience in a UNIX environment • Database design and development experience | |
