Financial Clerk Add more challenge to your world… With an exciting opportunity in our Finance Team… FINANCIAL CLERK This Financial Clerk position will be responsible for accurately and timeously reconciling General Ledger Accounts, preparing and processing all financial journals including all financial services, performing all treasury functions, maintaining Company service information, efficiently and effectively responding to and resolving all general ledger queries as well as all other general ledger financial/administrative and support duties. Applicants for the position will need to meet the following minimum requirements: Matric with Accountancy & Mathematics passed. A relevant financial diploma/degree qualification essential. 1 – 2 years experience in a financial/administrative position. A working knowledge of the latest Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) is an important requirement. Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal) and competence in a second official language would be a definite advantage. The successful candidate will need to be organised, accurate and thorough, with excellent attention to detail and numerical ability. She/he will also need to be able to work to deadlines, so good time management skills and the ability to cope with pressure will be very important. The position will entail a lot of communication and applicants will need to have a strong customer orientation and the ability to communicate effectively. Candidates for this position will need to be reliable and persistent, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team, with initiative and drive.
