| Operator OPERATOR - The purpose of the Operator will be to monitor systems jobs, server backups and the printing of system letters following a pre-defined operator shift schedule. In addition, the position will require maintenance and support of PC workstations and notebooks and their relevant operating systems (Windows 200 / XP environment) at first and second level. Installation, support and trouble-shooting of Windows 2000 and XP operating systems. Installationa dn support of client applications including Microsoft Office, Star Office, Microsoft Outlook client and other business related applications such as Internet Explorer and the Sybase / Omega client. Knowledge and trouble-shooting skills of PC Desktop and Notebook hardware. Identification of Network Connectivity Issues. Active Directory account management including creating and deleting of user accounts, resetting passwords and addition / removal of groups. Printer driver installations and resolve of printer problems. Effective communication and escalation of problems to other members of the department or external suppliers. Daily reporting of the job list. Independent, excellent communicator, time management, change orientated, positive, technical ability. | |
